7 signs of stress

Стресс на роботе

We are used to ignore the eternal fatigue, time pressure, bad mood in the morning… During the whole working week there is a lot of work, and even on weekends we can’t always relax – various household tasks accumulate. So we live in constant stress … Sooner or later it can lead to various pathologies. Here are 7 of the most common signs of stress, which manifest themselves in health problems.

1. Headaches

Stress often provokes not only internal psychological tension, but also physical tension, for example in the muscles of the neck and head. This becomes the cause of frequent headaches. To reduce their likelihood, it is worthwhile to follow a sleep and rest regime, take short breaks during the day, eat right and walk more (increase physical activity).

2.Premenstrual syndrome

Women are more emotional than men by nature, so they experience more stress. And it can lead to an imbalance of hormones. That is why malaise before menstruation, breast engorgement and pain in the lower abdomen at its onset are much more often felt by women in a state of stress. If you calm down, do not get nervous, the premenstrual syndrome may not be so pronounced.

3. Acne and other infections

Stress creates a hormonal imbalance, which increases the activity of sebaceous glands and makes the skin more vulnerable to Propionibacterium acnes, the main culprits of acne. Take proper care of your skin and remember: stress increases cortisol levels for a long time, which weakens the immune system and increases susceptibility to infectious diseases, especially acne.

4. Tooth and gum problems

People whose nerves are out of balance often make chewing motions or clench their jaws very hard while sleeping. This erodes tooth enamel and results in wedge-shaped defects – damage to the enamel on the frontal surface of the teeth (the most visible). It can also increase the risk of periodontal disease and accelerate its development. Treat your teeth in time and take sedatives.

5. Insomnia

Stress makes it hard to sleep because it is difficult for a person to relax. Lying in bed, he keeps thinking about his problems and worries, replaying in his head fears and worries. And when he manages to fall asleep, he may have a nightmare. The morning he gets up in a bad mood, not having recovered overnight strength. In order to sleep at least seven or eight hours, it is necessary to take a walk before going to bed, lie down at the same time, do not read the news on your phone at night, do not watch TV.

6. Heart discomfort

Many people experience tingling, mild pain in the heart, and an increase in its rhythm. If the cardiologist does not find any abnormalities, then it’s all about stress. Under its influence, the tone of blood vessels changes, so there may be discomfort in the heart area and a jump in blood pressure. The advice here is one: do not be nervous!

7. Digestive disorders

Stress and anxiety can provoke pain or discomfort in the stomach, intestines, gallbladder, etc. It is not without reason that the stomach is called the second brain: it has its own nervous system, closely connected to the central nervous system. When we worry, irritated, angry or, on the contrary, restrain such emotions, the digestive organs suffer. And want a sweet to calm down. But chocolate helps for a short time… Whatever the cause of stress and however it manifests itself, a quality sedative will help to cope with it.
